Here’s an interesting update from SitePoint Marketplace - DirectoryRate.com, one of the authorities in web directories, is listed for sale on Sitepoint.

The asking price is $17,500 - quite high for an average of $800 per month revenue kind of site. But nevertheless, the asking price shows how much potential the site has - it’s about 20 times monthly revenue, and to me, it’s actually a fair price.
